Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting Friday in Lowell, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n
The Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office said the shooting took place just before 4 p.m. at an apartment complex on Pawtucket Boulevard.<\/p>\n
Investigators said two men who knew each other from the building, both armed with guns, got into a fight. One of the men suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
The other man stayed at the scene, authorities said, adding that there is not believed to be any threat to the public.<\/p>\n
Neither man was publicly identified Friday evening.<\/p>\n
Lowell police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office are investigating the case.<\/p>\n
