Duke and head coach Manny Diaz agreed to a contract extension through the 2032 season, the school announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

“Manny Diaz is exactly the right leader at exactly the right time for Duke University,” director of athletics Nina King said in a statement. “His clear vision for Duke football, deep understanding of our student-athletes, and strong alignment with campus and athletics leadership have positioned us for sustained success in the years ahead.”<\/p>\n

Diaz guided Duke to an ACC title last season. The Blue Devils finished their 2025 campaign with a 9-5 mark after defeating Arizona State in the Sun Bowl.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old has led Duke to an 18-9 record over two seasons. The school hired Diaz in December 2023 following his two-year stint as Penn State’s defensive coordinator. He also served as the head coach at Miami from 2019-21.<\/p>\n
