Today, we&#8217;re returning to the very same boneyard and one of the very last full-size IHC pickups ever built.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/12063\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The International Harvester Corp. began selling light trucks <a href=\"https:\/\/content.wisconsinhistory.org\/digital\/collection\/ihc\/id\/34220\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in 1907<\/a> and continued building them until the final <a href=\"https:\/\/oldcarbrochures.org\/United%20States\/IHC\/1980-IHC\/1980%20International%20Scout\/index.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">1980 Scouts<\/a> rolled off the line.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/14061\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>IHC had a pickup version of the Scout known as the Terra, which stayed in production until the end. However, this small truck wasn&#8217;t a direct sales competitor against the full-size pickups from Chevrolet\/GMC, Ford and Dodge.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/14191\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>IHC <i>did<\/i> offer sales rivals to those huge-selling Detroit pickups, which were the Ford F-Series, Dodge D-Series and Chevrolet\/GMC C\/K-series from the 1960s forward. These were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.murileemartin.com\/DOTJ\/64IHCPickup\/DOTJ-64IHCPickup.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the International C Series<\/a> through 1968, and its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthaboutcars.com\/2012\/05\/junkyard-find-1972-international-harvester-pickup\/\">D-Series successor<\/a> for 1969 through 1975.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/14261\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There wasn&#8217;t anything especially revolutionary about the design of the International D-Series pickup, which also served as the basis of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthaboutcars.com\/2011\/12\/junkyard-find-1971-international-harvester-model-1110-travelall\/\">the Travelall proto-SUV<\/a>. It had similar features and pricing versus the products of the Detroit behemoths, but &#8220;The Other Pickup&#8221; struggled to find buyers.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/12066\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Only 6,239 International D-Series pickups were built as 1975 models, all at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demolitionnews.com\/2011\/03\/15\/circle-of-life-spells-end-for-ih-plant\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the plant in Springfield, Ohio<\/a>. This one was assembled on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/October_1974 rel=\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Halloween 1974<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/12071\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a \u00be-ton short-wheelbase model with four-wheel-drive. The one-ton version was discontinued after the 1973 model year, so the 1974-1975 D-Series pickups were all \u00bd-ton and \u00be-ton trucks.<\/p>\n<p>                            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"junkyard find 1975 international harvester 200 4x4 pickup\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-fastly.thetruthaboutcars.com\/media\/2026\/06\/20\/12065\/junkyard-find-1975-international-harvester-200-4x4-pickup.jpg?size=720x845&amp;nocrop=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The naming system for these trucks changed a couple of times during the 1969-1975 period. At first, they were badged as 1000Ds, 1100Ds, and so on according to weight rating.
