Our camera captured footage of a rodent inside Friday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Boston Inspectional Services says it found rodent droppings throughout the store, along with &#8220;multiple violations of the Massachusetts Sanitary Code and the FDA Food Code.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The city suspended the store&#8217;s food permit and ordered the business to stop food operations immediately.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s pretty terrifying, because if that was happening at any of these other restaurants, I would never know, and I would be eating that food and not thinking twice about it,&#8221; said one person at South Station.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a lot of rats in the city, but you hope you can keep them out of a Starbucks,&#8221; another added.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the store must deep clean and sanitize the entire store, hire a licensed pest control company, throw away any contaminated food and correct all health code violations before it can reopen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inmi-source\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\/news\/local\/rodent-infestation-closes-starbucks-in-south-station\/3983536\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">News \u2013 Boston \u2013 necn<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Starbucks in Boston&#8217;s South Station has been ordered to close after health inspectors confirmed a rodent infestation.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the foot traffic and shops sits a recently-shuttered Starbucks.
