Ricki Lake<\/strong><\/a> is looking back with gratitude.<\/p>\n

The former talk show host celebrated two years since she had a facelift via Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, July 18, sharing new photos from before and after the procedure.<\/p>\n

“Happy 2 year anniversary to me. Yes, 2 years ago today, I had a facelift. Specifically, for those wondering, I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift along with a mild co2 laser,” she wrote alongside the images. “My incredibly talented and kind surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad @drallenfoulad made the experience a wonderful one and my results have been remarkable, natural, and long-lasting.”<\/p>\n

Lake, 57, continued, “Back in 2023, I had lost 40 lbs over the course of a year and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. It was never going to tighten up by itself.”<\/p>\n

“I took a leap of faith and I’m so grateful I did,” she added. “I am also very glad to see so many people over these past couple of years opening up about their own plastic surgery journeys.”<\/p>\n

Alongside the caption, Lake used the hashtags #transparency, #selflove, #plasticsurgery, #thisis57 and #grateful.<\/p>\n

Back in March, Lake opened up about deciding to have a facelift<\/a> without doing much research into the process.<\/p>\n

“I told my doctor, Dr. Alan Fouad, who I met through another friend, that I didn’t do any research when I decided very impulsively to have my face done,” the actress said on the “Inside Edit” podcast.<\/p>\n

“Anyway, she had this experience [and] I saw her eight days after her surgery, and not only did she look amazing, she was euphoric,” she said of her friend. “She was like a different person. She was just on top of the world.”<\/p>\n

“I had just lost 40 pounds, and I had this [skin] hanging,” Lake said, referring to her neck.<\/p>\n

Since undergoing the procedure, Lake has been happy to openly talk about having a facelift.<\/p>\n

“I love that I can talk about it. I’m fully transparent, always have been,” she said. “I don’t want there to be any stigma. This is something that was bothering me.”<\/p>\n

“I lost a lot of weight and I had this certain thing hanging and I had it fixed,” she added.<\/p>\n

Other stars who have been candid about having facelifts include Kris Jenner<\/strong>, Jane Fonda<\/strong>, Sharon Osbourne<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n
