She then jumped out of the home\u2019s second-story window and was paralyzed from the waist down in the fall.<\/li>\n<li class=\"what-to-know__item\">Patrick Clancy is expected to be the first witness to take the stand.<\/li>\n<li class=\"what-to-know__item\">The trial is expected to last several weeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Editor&#8217;s note: Elements of this trial may be disturbing to some readers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A jury is set to hear opening statements Monday in the trial of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\/news\/local\/lindsay-clancy-murder-trial\/\">Lindsay Clancy<\/a>, the Duxbury, Massachusetts, mom accused of killing her three children in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors are set to argue that Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, planned the killings and bears full responsibility for their deaths. Clancy&#8217;s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, will argue that at the time of the killings she was suffering from postpartum psychosis, a rare mental illness linked to the stress, sleep deprivation and
