Freeman finished the inning on defense, but Tommy Edman<\/a> pinch hit for him to lead off the bottom half of the frame. Enrique Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> played first base for the Dodgers in the ninth.<\/p>\n

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said postgame that Freeman is day-to-day while experiencing “total body soreness,” according to Sonja Chen of MLB.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We really dodged a bullet,” Roberts added.<\/p>\n

Freeman was 1-for-2 with a walk during the contest, which the Dodgers won 4-2. <\/p>\n

The 10-time All-Star is in the midst of another fine season, slashing .306\/.380\/.472 with 15 home runs, 27 doubles, and 57 RBIs in 118 games.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
