New York won&#8217;t wear the unique set until the 2027-28 season.<\/p>\n<p>In July, the Islanders announced the NHL&#8217;s first contest calling for fan-designed uniforms. After receiving over 80,000 submissions, the team unveiled eight finalists last week. Fans voted in a bracket-style competition to determine the winner.<\/p>\n<div class=\"the-score-article-ad-unit\"><\/div>\n<p>New York has never used a lighthouse as its primary logo.
