This week’s Amazon Sunday is built around the first signs of fall finding their way into August closets. For this in-between stretch of the year, I’m drawn to small shifts: corduroy<\/a> in place of linen, leopard flats<\/a> in place of sandals, a striped tee<\/a> in a more autumnal color palette, even a soft cardigan<\/a> to bring print back into the mix.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to finishing touches, that same mood applies. A knit collar<\/a>, velvet ballet flats<\/a>, and my pareos swapped out for bandanas<\/a> in far more fall-ready patterns<\/a>. Right now it’s all about adding pieces in one by one, which makes the transition to a new season \u2014 cooler mornings, back-to-school, a return to routine \u2014 all the more enjoyable.<\/span><\/p>\n
