Have you ever heard of Clicky? It's simply the best little plugin or piece of code to track your website stats out there.
It's the best way to monitor, analyze, and react to your blog or web site's
traffic in real time.
Clicky is free for a single site with less than 3,000 page views, and there are professional plan options that allows you to access even more features. It shows you all the important and popular metrics like:
- Pageviews
- Visitors
- Actions
- Average actions
- Total time
- Average time per visit
- Bounce rate
Setting up Clicky is very easy and is pretty much the same as setting up any other web analytics package.
- You go to Clicky.com,
- You create an account
- After creating your account you get a Site ID, a Site Key and an Admin Site Key
- Then you can add the code manually to your web pages or use a plugin (ie: WordPress and other CMS).
There are tremedous numbers of integrations for
Clicky (such as WordPress, Joomla, Tumblr, Squarespace, Vanilla Forums,
Magento, etc.).
For folks that use WordPress, there are 2 plugins. I
use the one by Clicky themselves. This shows me my Clicky stats in the WordPress dashboard.
