Clicky: A quick an easy way to get Web Stats

Have you ever heard of Clicky?  It's simply the best little plugin or piece of code to track your website stats out there.  It's the best way to monitor, analyze, and react to your blog or web site's traffic in real time. Clicky is free for a single site with less than 3,000 page views, and there are professional plan options that allows you to access even more features.  It shows you all the important and popular metrics like:
  • Pageviews
  • Visitors
  • Actions
  • Average actions
  • Total time
  • Average time per visit
  • Bounce rate
Setting up Clicky is very easy and is pretty much the same as setting up any other web analytics package.
  • You go to Clicky.com,
  • You create an account
  • After creating your account you get a Site ID, a Site Key and an Admin Site Key
  • Then you can add the code manually to your web pages or use a plugin (ie: WordPress and other CMS).
There are tremedous numbers of integrations for Clicky (such as WordPress, Joomla, Tumblr, Squarespace, Vanilla Forums, Magento, etc.). For folks that use WordPress, there are 2 plugins. I use the one by Clicky themselves. This shows me my Clicky stats in the WordPress dashboard. This articles is a quick overview of Clicky and barely tells the story of what Clicky can do, particularly when you upgrade to a paid plan.  Once you download and install it you won't ask yourself if you really need a second analytics package, you will be convinced just like me that there’s no question that it is one of the best web analytics packages out there second only to Google Analytics.  I personally find it user-friendly, intuitive, I love the interface, the colourful dashboards and how they constantly improve it and keep it fresh.
