WORCESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – A 14-year-old girl was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Worcester Thursday night.
Worcester man indicted for murder in 4-year-old daughter’s death
The MBTA Transit Police states that around 8:00 p.m., police were sent to a call that a 14-year-old year old girl was struck and killed by a commuter rail train. Authorities say the girl was trespassing with a group of friends when she was struck by the train, according to NBC Boston.
The incident is being investigated at this time.
“On behalf of the Transit Police and the entire MBTA organization we offer our most heartfelt condolences to the decedent’s family and friends,” Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this most unimaginable difficult and profound tragedy.”
