Nick Viall’s wife, Natalie Joy, is opening up about the “heartbreak” of suffering a third pregnancy loss.
“Hi friends, [I] wanted to thank everyone for the love and support after sharing that we experienced our third miscarriage,” Joy, 26, wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, August 17. “I took this last week to recover physically from my second D&C, lean on my people and nonstop squeezing my miracle Rivvy girl.”
Viall, 44, confirmed earlier this week that his wife lost her pregnancy. They previously navigated losses after welcoming daughter River Rose in 2024.
“I’m working very closely with my doctors [who] I love and trust,” Joy added on Sunday. “[I am] eager to find out what’s going on, so we don’t experience this heartbreak for a fourth time. Love y’all .”

Joy, who usually cohosts “The Viall Files” podcast with her husband, was absent while recording the Thursday, August 14, episode in order to recuperate from her pregnancy loss.
“Sadly, Natalie experienced another miscarriage,” Viall explained during the episode. “It’s her third this year. There’s no really good way to say it. It f***ing sucks. She’s obviously at home resting, healing, both physically and emotionally.”
He added, “We want to be vulnerable with you guys and, obviously, Natalie is such a big part of the show. My partner in life and on the show, and when she’s not here, people notice, and so we wanted to be open with you guys.”

According to Viall, the couple has been navigating “uncharted territory” after experiencing multiple, consecutive miscarriages.
“It’s far less normal to have two and three [miscarriages] back to back,” Viall said. “Now we’re kind of in that scary process of running tests and finding out more about ourselves, and it’s this weird thing of, like, you want them to find something, but you don’t want them to find something.”
Joy revealed in January that she suffered a miscarriage. Two months later, she shared that she had another pregnancy loss.

“While mourning the loss of our second baby at the beginning of this year, I quickly and very unexpectedly found out I was pregnant again,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories in March. “It took some time for me to accept what had happened only to be handed another chance so easily and so fast.”
She continued, “Eventually, I found so much happiness. We were finally in a place of complete and utter gratitude. [Then], this past week, I miscarried again. I underwent a D&C this time, which was harder than I imagined.”
