Kendra Duggar's Terms of Release Revealed After Child Endangerment Arrest

The conditions for Kendra Duggar’s release from jail have been revealed following her recent arrest on child endangerment charges.

Us Weekly has obtained Duggar’s conditional release form from the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, which was issued on March 20. Kendra was booked on four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree. (Kendra’s husband, Joseph Duggar, is facing the same charges. The couple share four children.)

Us previously learned that Kendra was released from custody that same day after paying a $1,470 bond.

Before she left the jail, a judge required Kendra, 27, to sign an agreement that she would “have no contact” with any of her “unnamed victims.” The D.A. specified that Kendra is not to reach out to them “by telephone (including text), in person, by computer or through other people.”

Kendra is required to attend a hearing at Elm Springs and Tontitown District Court on April 29 at 2 p.m. local time.

If Kendra violates the terms of this signed agreement, she may face “a separate offense resulting in [her] arrest and/or bond revocation” and could even be “subject to jail pending trial.”

An insider previously confirmed to Us that Kendra and Joseph’s child endangerment charges are completely separate from the latter’s molestation case in Florida.

“Kendra’s arrest has nothing to do with Joseph’s — although one precipitated another,” a source with knowledge of the case told Us on Saturday, March 21. “After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house.”

Per the insider, the child endangerment charge was based solely on the findings of a police investigation at the couple’s home.

“Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside,” the source clarified. “They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”

Meanwhile, Joseph remains in custody after being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl while on vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020. Joseph has been charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.

TMZ reported on March 20 that Joseph had “no access” to other inmates at the Washington County Detention Center and is “under constant watch” by jail staff. He is awaiting extradition from Arkansas to Florida.

In the wake of the scandal, several members of the Duggar family have condemned Joseph for his molestation arrest, though they have mostly stayed quiet over Kendra’s separate child endangerment charge. One exception is Amy Duggar King, as she originally supported Kendra when news first broke about her cousin Joseph’s arrest.

“Recognizing that we do not yet know the full picture, I am also praying for Joseph’s wife, Kendra, as she begins to process this, and for the protection of their children,” Amy originally said in a statement on March 19. “I’m praying for eyes to be opened and above all, I pray that justice will be served to the fullest.”

However, Amy withdrew her statement when Kendra was arrested in Arkansas later that week.

“I think that was a plot twist that no one saw coming,” Amy told TMZ. “When I gave that [first] statement … that was just the information I was given at the time and thought to be true. Now that the information has changed and there’s more that is coming out and there’s a lot of question marks right now.”

She went on, “I’m just going to steer that statement towards the kids because that’s what matters right now, is the kids’ safety, the victim and her family, and the four children that were in [Joseph and Kendra’s] home. That is where my heart lies. I’m just going to lay there.”
