Man found shot in Austin

A man was found shot in Austin Wednesday night, according to Chicago police.

The man, 34, was found in the 400 block of North Central Avenue at 6:26 p.m. by officers who responded to a call of shots fired, police said. He had been shot in the chest. He was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in grave condition.

The shooting is under investigation.
