SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Prospective student-athletes from around New England are getting the chance to show their skills and gain exposure to college coaches.
It was day one of a camp called ‘Friday Night Lights’ at AIC’s Ronald J. Abdow Field. This camp is ran by the college’s football program. It includes circuit training, positional instruction, and competitive drills, all designed to showcase each athletes abilities.
22News talked to a parent from New Hampshire who says this opporunity helps prepare her son for college football someday. “I am just so proud of my son.He has worked hard to get where he is and he’s he he puts the time, the effort and the commitment in. So I’m super proud of him and I’m glad to see them doing this here again this year,” said Kim Healey.
AIC football is expected to host another camp on July 25th. It costs $35. Walk up and online registration will be accepted.
