(KRON) — A 71-year-old Pleasanton man is suffering from life-threatening injuries after being shot several times at a home following an argument Saturday afternoon, said the Pleasanton Police Department.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
PPD said the shooting happened in the 3600 block of Vineyard Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. Pleasanton police said officers found the victim at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds before being transported to a local trauma center.
Police said a 50-year-old man, identified as Joshua Kaplan, has been taken into custody. The relationship between the victim and the suspect is not yet known. The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been determined.
