Browns’ Haslam predicts Texas’ Manning will skip 2026 NFL Draft

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam doesn’t expect Texas quarterback Arch Manning to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft.

“If you know the Manning family, I would bet that – and I don’t know Arch at all, OK – I bet he stays in college two years,” Haslam told reporters Tuesday when asked about being linked to the Longhorns star. “So I don’t think that’s worth discussing.”

Manning, a redshirt sophomore, is considered one of the top draft-eligible quarterbacks for 2026. The 21-year-old is poised to be Texas’ unquestioned starter this fall after playing behind Quinn Ewers in 2024. He’s the nephew of former star NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning.

Arch passed for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions last season while rushing for 108 yards and another four scores.

Cleveland, which owns two first-round picks in the 2026 draft, has long struggled to establish a quality starting quarterback. The Browns have started 40 different passers since 1999, per Cleveland.com’s Irie Harris.

The team’s battle at the position currently involves Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco along with rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. Deshaun Watson is on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing surgery to address a second Achilles tear this offseason.
