Fans gathered at the Wellington Sonida Senior Living in Springfield to meet Begley and get a signed copy of his book called ‘To the Temple of Tranquility…And Step On It!’

In the memoir, Begley shares his origins of becoming an actor and environmental activist, reflects on his life as the son of legendary actor Ed Begley Sr., and tells of his adventures with Hollywood icons and lifelong search for wisdom.

“It opened a door to a business that was good to me,” he says. “I’m now 75 years of age–almost 76 and I’m still working, so anybody who has been in business for 58 years and still enjoys it–I think you are quite fortunate—and I feel like I’m extremely fortunate.”

Begley`s sister, Allene Curto, is a former, long-time Springfield school committee member and activist for Massachusetts students.
