Authorities confirmed that all flights to and from the airport have been cancelled until further notice, reported Reuters. Essex Police said they were called just before 4 p.m. following reports of a collision involving a 12-metre aircraft at the airport, located around 56 kilometres east of central London. “We remain on the scene of a serious incident at Southend Airport,” the police said in a statement.
