Western Massachusetts will benefit from these grants. Springfield public schools will be receiving nearly $50,000, and Westfield about $30,000.
These grants will expand access to high-quality civics education, including student-led projects and showcases. Governor Maura Healey says that by teaching students how they can make a difference by working together, we can create stronger communities and democracy.
