A crime comedy that became a worldwide hit is set to return to Netflix soon, after fans of the dark series have been waiting for more than a year and a half. The second season of Murder Mindfully will debut on the streaming service in three days.

In March 2026, Netflix’s official website published the first images from Murder Mindfully’s upcoming second season. The article that contained those images revealed that the series is set to finally return on May 28, 2026. The German show that English-speaking viewers can watch with dubbed audio or subtitles is also known as Achtsam Morden in some international markets.
An acclaimed series, Murder Mindfully holds a 100% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes based on reviews from professional critics. More importantly, the show has earned an 89% Popcornmeter score from viewers.
Based on a novel by Karsten Dusse, Murder Mindfully is a dark comedy that focuses on a burned-out defense attorney who is pushed to find a better work-life balance. After attending mindfulness classes, he finds the teachings work better than expected and takes ruthless steps to eliminate anything that threatens his new life. After murdering a crime boss who was disrupting his new lifestyle, he suddenly finds himself taking on the mafia while still trying to resist stress. The show’s cast includes Tom Schilling, Emily Cox, and Peter Jordan, among others.
The show’s original season premiered on October 31, 2024, and quickly became a hit. According to a What’s on Netflix article, it entered Netflix’s TV top 10 charts in 66 different countries. It also hit No. 1 on the Global Non-English Top 10 and accumulated 44 million hours watched in less than two months. Thanks to that impressive level of success, Netflix announced it had renewed Murder Mindfully on December 17, 2024. Despite that speedy renewal, fans have been waiting for more than a year and a half to see more of the popular series.
