Christian Horner oversaw the most dominant era in Red Bull Racing’s Formula 1 effort, leading the team’s effort to eight drivers’ titles and six constructor titles in his 20 years as team principle.
That all came to an end on July 9 though, when the team fired him without announcing a reason.
Horner isn’t new to seeing himself or his family being headlines outside his F1 performances though, becoming a star of the hit Netflix series Drive to Survive and his wife Geri Halliwell being a pop-star herself.
Halliwell rose to fame in the 1990s as the lead singer of English pop group Spice Girls, with her nickname being Ginger Spice.
Considering her own success, Halliwell will likely have no trouble being the family’s breadwinner now that Horner is out of a job. The pair have been married since 2015. They also gave birth to a boy in 2017 and each has a child from previous marriages.
Since appearing on the music scene, Halliwell has been in and out several times, citing differences with other members for her 1998 departure from Spice Girls, according to the BBC.

She rejoined the group in 2007 for a greatest hits album as well as two concert tours, and then again in 2019 for the groups world tour: Spice World.
Halliwell has also led a successful career as a solo artists with her debut album Schizophonic, in 1999. That album alone sold over 1 million copies between just the U.S. and UK.
She was nominated in 2000 at the BRIT Awards for Best British Female Solo Artist and Best Pop Act, and released her second album, Scream If You Wanna Go Faster, in 2001, another UK certified gold album.
Aside from her singing and songwriting career, Halliwell has also sold over a million copies of her autobiography, If Only. She also wrote a young adult novel in 2022 about an orphan who travels to a school on an island for extraordinary teens, titled Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen. The sequel, Rosie Frost: Ice on Fire, debuted in April, 2025.

Halliwell has also acted in several roles over the years, appearing as Karen Chelios in the 2009 film Crank: High Voltage and as the wife of Djimon Hounsou in the 2023 film Gran Turismo.
And her on-screen career doesn’t stop there since she was a guest judge on British music competition show The X Factor in 2010.
She’s also dabbled in the fashion industry, partnering in 2010 with designer Next to create a swimwear line, and then again in 2012 to create a Union Jack-themed line inspired by the Union Jack dress she wore while performing with Spice Girls at the 1997 BRIT Awards.
Horner too might not have too much trouble finding another job considering he saw Red Bull rise from the bottom to the top. He was the only principle they ever had, leading the team since it first entered the series in 2005.

The team’s top driver and F1 star Max Verstappen, who won four consecutive drivers’ titles with the team starting in 2021, posted some kind words about Horner on his Instagram.
“From my first race win, to four world championships, we have shared incredible successes,” Verstappen wrote. “Winning memorable races and breaking countless records. Thank you for everything, Christian!”
