Sophie Cunningham Makes Major Career Announcement

Before the 2025 WNBA season kicked off, the Indiana Fever made a big move for guard Sophie Cunningham.

The move immediately paid dividends as Cunningham brought energy – and enforcement – to the team. The former Missouri Tigers star has been a welcomed addition to the Fever as she’s averaging 7.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while coming off the bench.

While most fans might not have known her before the 2025 season, they certainly became aware of her after the former Phoenix Mercury guard came to the defense of Caitlin Clark. Following her wrestling moves on the court, Cunningham’s social media channels erupted with followers as she went from just over 200,000 on TikTok to well over one million in just a few days.

She’s using her newfound stardom to cash in. On Wednesday, July 30, Cunningham announced she’s starting a podcast with reality TV star West Wilson – of Summer House – on a new podcast. The duo have known each other since they were “little babies” in Columbia, MO and now co-host the podcast Show Me Something.

The duo claims their new podcast will be a blend of pop-culture and sports. “There’s no better time to hop into the WNBA than right now,” Wilson, a sports journalist whose work has appeared in Complex Sports, Bleacher Report and NFL Network, said in a statement.

According to a conversation with People, the new podcast co-hosts initially talked about focusing the show on the WNBA, but didn’t want to pigeon hole themselves.

“We’re definitely going to hit on the WNBA, a huge topic in sports right now, and then Bravo, clearly, but pop culture, food, fashion, travel, let’s spread this thing wide open because we really do talk about anything,” Cunningham said.

The Fever guard made it clear she was “not surprised” when her childhood friend became a Bravo personality because “it was just like a matter of time for him to somehow get famous.” Cunningham revealed she even has her teammates watching his reality show.

“That part makes me nervous, that the team’s watching,” Wilson confessed while stating he knew it was just a matter of time that Cunningham would find success in the WNBA. “She’s been balling since eighth grade, so this part of her life isn’t surprising to me.”

With Show Me Something, the two are just looking for another creative outlet.

“We’re lighthearted, and sometimes our love language is, like, s*** talking,” Cunningham said. “It’ll be cool that people can see our humor, what we’re actually like and, it’s coming from us and not from other people perceiving or portraying what they think we are.”
