SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The community is coming together to support a beloved photographer in Springfield, who recently had a medical emergency and is now unable to work.
Ed Cohen suffered from a serious fall and was diagnosed with a brain bleed, according to a post on GoFundMe. He is on his journey to recovery however, being self-employed, his bills are piling up. Along with over $28,000 raised, the community is hosting a fundraiser to help with essential items, food, and other items in need.

On Monday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., the public is invited to the ‘Spanish Dinner’ fundraiser at the Eagles 148 – Banquet Hall located at 530 St. James Ave in Springfield.
“This is an opportunity for the community to shape our continued support to our local photographer, I miss seeing ED Cohen taking pictures,” said Councilor Zaida Govan.
