U.S.-Australian bilateral exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 kicked off with more than 35,000 personnel from 19 nations taking part in the drills. The exercise is taking place off Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, New South Wales and Christmas Island and in Papua New Guinea. The Talisman Sabre will include U.K. Carrier Strike Group and the Navy’s George Washington CSG which is currently sailing through the Timor Sea. The U.S. Marine Corps will have a significant participation in the drills, with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin (MRF-D) and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), embarked on the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG)
