A new video from the Bay Area National Weather Service shows the impact of a tsunami that started in Russia. An 8.8-magnitude earthquake hit Russia’s eastern Kamchatka region, causing tsunami warnings across the Pacific Ocean coast.
As of today, the tsunami warnings remain in effect in California’s northern coast bordering the state of Oregon. California’s coastal region is expected to experience wave aftershocks for 10–36 hours, according to the National Weather Service.
