I used to collect Willow Tree figurines representing each family member. They rested on my fireplace mantle until the entire shelf came down one year later, and many broke. I was able to glue some back together, but others were beyond repair. This memory reminds me of relationships in general, how they are sometimes fragmented by unexpected circumstances, even beyond repair. The broken pieces of hurt and betrayal can be challenging to heal, but thankfully, we have a good Father who comforts us in all our trials.
