Daytona Beach is the alpha and omega of the rally season. Kicking off with Daytona Bike Week around the beginning of March, the city sets the tone with a week-long celebration including racing, shows, concerts, and more bikes roaring up and down the roads than you could count. In October, bikers make a second annual pilgrimage to Daytona Beach for a last hoorah before putting the bike away for the winter. Some may prefer the larger crowds and intensity of Bike Week, but there’s something special about the more intimate end-of-season celebration that Biketoberfest offers.
Biketoberfest celebrates its 34th anniversary in 2026, taking place Oct. 15-18. For these four days, the entire city transforms into a riders’ haven, with outdoor concerts, races, demo rides, vendors, bike shows, and gorgeous weather for riding the area’s best loops.
Harley owners and fans should be sure to check out the scene at Teddy Morse’s Daytona Harley-Davidson. The dealership will celebrate Biketoberfest with vendors, food trucks, bars, and live entertainment, and it provides the perfect spot to convene with fellow Harley riders or stage a ride with friends.
Cruise down to Cypress Street Park for the Midtown celebration, including live music and food vendors serving southern and Caribbean cuisine. For a longer ride, head to Tomoka State Park on the Ormond Scenic Loop for the Riverfront Beer and Peanuts event. Just follow the signs to arrive at the riverfront, where you’ll find beer, peanuts, ice cream, snacks, sodas, coffee, gifts, and more. Enjoy these treats while watching the river for manatees, dolphins, alligators, and other wildlife. The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum makes another great riding location during Biketoberfest, with extended hours during the event.
The Boardwalk Bike Show is another popular event at Biketoberfest. Taking place Oct. 16, the show includes 20 bike classes, with a $500 cash prize for Best of Show. Bike registration is only $40 per bike.
And of course, Daytona International Speedway will be a hot spot during Biketoberfest, hosting the American SportBike Racing Association Championships across multiple classes, including the Unlimited Superbike Shootout. The Barnett National Sidecar Challenge rounds out the weekend. The speedway will also host a Motorcycle Marketplace, where rallygoers can find vendors, manufacturers, demo rides, and more.
When it’s time to hop on the bike, several nearby rides provide an opportunity to put on some miles in the Florida sunshine. State Route A1A, designated the Jimmy Buffet Memorial Highway in 2024, runs along the entire eastern coast of Florida and offers great ocean views. The Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail, only 32 miles long, takes riders through the Tomoka State Park, riding through tunnels of southern live oaks and over the Tomoka and Halifax rivers. We rode this loop during Bike Week earlier this year and wrote a detailed route with photos and a map for those wanting to try it out.
The Biketoberfest schedule already includes more than enough to keep riders entertained throughout the four-day event, and more activities are being added to the calendar.
