‘A tragedy’: Family of boy who drowned in Manitoba park in 2023 speaks out
The Manitoba government says it is acting “really quickly” to implement new safeguards after two young brothers were swept into a lake at Whiteshell Provincial Park late last week.
Last year saw a decrease in violent crimes, including homicide and robberies, in Winnipeg. Police said crimes committed by youth, however, were on the rise.
Police in Winnipeg said they are searching for two men who they believe broke into a business and stole jewelry, while armed with a handgun and hammer.
