Barkley's family OK after attempted burglary

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and his family were unharmed following an attempted burglary at their home early Saturday morning, according to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department.

Police said officers were dispatched to Barkley’s house at 5 a.m., but the suspects had fled before they arrived. At least one suspect entered the home.

“They were home, and fortunately, as you know, with any situation like this, our main concern is that the residents of that home at the time were unharmed, which they were,” Capt. Tyler Moyer told reporters, per ESPN. “They were fine afterward, obviously unsettled as anyone would be.”

Several NFL stars have been targeted in burglaries in recent years, including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Joe Burrow.

Barkley is set to enter his third season with Philadelphia in 2026. He recorded 1,140 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025, a notable step back from his production in his debut Eagles campaign, when he eclipsed 2,000 yards and won Offensive Player of the Year.
