Heat wave fuels record-tying 10 tornadoes in Saskatchewan
Ten tornadoes tied Saskatchewan’s one-day record Friday as extreme heat fuelled severe storms, with Environment Canada warning more tornadoes are possible.
Farmers and experts are noticing a slight delay in the ripening of Saskatoon berries, while other crops thrive from the notably wet conditions of the previous month.
The rain has improved the fire situation across much of Saskatchewan. With fires tempering down, evacuees from Red Earth and Shoal Lake Cree Nation begin to return home.
