Jeff Skinner signs 1-year deal in Switzerland

Jeff Skinner‘s hockey career is taking him overseas.

The free-agent winger signed a one-year contract with EHC Biel-Bienne in the Swiss league, the team announced Friday.

A six-time 30-goal scorer, Skinner was limited to 13 points in 32 games with the San Jose Sharks last season, averaging a career-low 12:21 per contest.

The 34-year-old has amassed 379 goals and 712 points in 1,110 games across his 16-year NHL career. He’s also played for the Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, and Carolina Hurricanes.
