I see that our city council is trying to install another useless bicycle lane on 70th Street which runs for blocks and blocks taking away most of the parking for residents who live in the affected area. There is cyclists that they interviewed, and they feel that it is not required especially since there is not that many bicycle riders. At least the residents on 50th Street had the sneaky bicycle lanes delayed from council when they got caught trying to go ahead with the project. Edmontonians cannot even get the roadways repaved in Edmonton, which are years overdue and even worse are the alleys behind residents’ homes. These bicycle lanes remind me of the restaurants and other stores that are closing in the downtown area. Edmonton council does not listen to Edmontonians and when they speak on these two matters it’s all smoke and mirrors, nothing more. They have to go for sure on the next election. Read More
