Malawi have reached their first-ever Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final after defeating Algeria 3-1 in a historic semi-final victory. Tabitha Chawinga scored twice, while her sister Temwa added another goal as the Scorchers continued their remarkable debut campaign. Cameroon secured their place in the final after beating hosts Morocco on penalties following a goalless 120 minutes in Rabat. The Indomitable Lionesses converted three penalties to reach a fourth WAFCON final. Malawi will now face Cameroon for the continental title, with the two teams competing for a place in African women’s football history.
