Patchy fog this morning as we track possible storm later this week

We’re struggling with low clouds and patchy fog through this morning.

Sun will get a foothold later, but the temps remain on the cool side at the coast with an onshore breeze. Elsewhere, we should nudge 80 as some warmth seeps back into the picture.

There is a very small risk for a pop-up shower this afternoon, but many of us stay dry.

Warmer temps are in the cards through the middle of the week as we rise to the mid-80s with the air slowly drying out by Wednesday.

Thursday could see a few showers (late) as the pattern begins to slide toward wetter days.

The late week setup is a peculiar one for late summer.

A big dip in the jet stream will create a storm system near the coast. It’s likely to spread a general, steady rain across the region late Saturday into Sunday.

Temps dip back to the low/mid 70s, and brisk winds come in from the east and northeast. Unfortunately, it means this coming weekend will be nothing like the last.

Enjoy the week.
