Police in Plaistow, New Hampshire, say a person was fatally hit by an Amtrak train Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a train strike on tracks near Blossom Road.
A male victim was found dead alongside the tracks. His identity is being withheld until family can be notified.
Plaistow police are investigating alongside the Amtrak Police Department.
