Police in Reading, Massachusetts, said part of a neighborhood has been evacuated after a propane tank leak.
Emergency crews responded to the 200 block of Washington Street, Reading police said in a Facebook post at 4:45 p.m.
A hazardous materials team and bomb squad are responding, as well, police said.
The area was evacuated out of safety concern, according to authorities, who noted that Washington Street was closed between John Street and Main Street while Green Street is closed from Eliot street to John Street.
Police noted that the library is open for anyone who has been evacuated.
No further information was immediately available.
