Jadeveon Clowney‘s career has come full circle.
The veteran pass-rusher has agreed to terms on a deal with the Houston Texans to reunite with the franchise that drafted him first overall in 2014, sources told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.
Clowney played the first five seasons of his career in Houston with all of his three Pro Bowl invites coming during his tenure with the Texans.
The 33-year-old has bounced around the NFL since leaving the Texans, spending time with the Seattle Seahawks (2019), Tennessee Titans (2020), Cleveland Browns (2021-22), Baltimore Ravens (2023), Carolina Panthers (2024), and Dallas Cowboys (2025).
He recorded 8.5 sacks, 12 tackles for a loss, 10 quarterback hits, and a forced fumble during his one-year stay with the Cowboys last year.
Clowney has still been a productive player in recent seasons, recording at least eight sacks in three of the last five campaigns.
He now joins an already loaded Texans’ edge-rushing group that contains Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter. Hunter finished with 15 sacks last season while Anderson notched 12 sacks on his way to finishing runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year honors. Houston’s defense surrendered the fewest yardage in the league last year while also ranking second in points allowed.
Clowney has a career total of 66.5 sacks and 16 forced fumbles over 153 games.
