Saints sign Olave to 4-year extension worth up to $132M

The New Orleans Saints are signing wide receiver Chris Olave to a four-year contract extension worth up to $132 million, his agents told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Olave’s new deal includes $90 million guaranteed, Schefter reports.

The 26-year-old’s rookie contract was set to expire at the end of the 2026 season after New Orleans exercised the fifth-year team option on his deal.

The Ohio State product is coming off a breakout campaign. He posted a career-high 1,163 yards on 100 catches for nine touchdowns last season. He finished with 11.6 yards per reception and earned a second-team All-Pro nod.

Olave has yet to play a full season since the Saints selected him 11th overall in the 2022 draft. He missed nine games during the 2024 campaign after suffering two concussions. The star wideout also missed the final game of last season after a blood clot was found in his lungs.

The electric playmaker has been medically cleared ahead of his fifth NFL season but had been sitting out team drills to begin training camp because of his desire for a new contract.

Olave has caught 291 passes for 3,728 yards and 19 touchdowns in 55 career games. He’s likely to be the focal point of a revamped Saints offense that will also feature Alvin Kamara, Travis Etienne Jr., and rookie receiver Jordyn Tyson.
