Whenever I’m getting dressed, I’m thinking about the styling touches that make a look feel like mine. Not the expected additions, but the ones that add personality and give an outfit its point of interest. When the starting point is black and white, that just means there’s even more of a canvas to play with color.  It leaves so much room for the accessories to stand on their own and really pack a punch.

Even when a piece is mainly neutral, I still want it to carry a sense of drama, whether that comes through the cut or the pattern. From there it’s about balance. If I’m wearing a bold, brightly-colored necklace, I’ll pair it with a clean black top so that every standout moment in the outfit has space to shine. The contrast of black and white together gives every saturated hue even more impact. It may start as a classic pairing, but the accessories are how I make it unmistakably my own.
