A police shooting closed down a street in a busy neighborhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Friday night.
The shooting happened in the Central Square area, near where Massachusetts Avenue intersects with Prospect Street and Temple Street.
Cambridge police did not give any information about injuries or what led to the shooting.
Authorities said there was a “significant police presence” around 11 p.m. They did not say when the shooting occurred.
Temple Street is closed as police investigate.
“Officers and investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” a Cambridge Police Department spokesperson said in a statement.
